50% of the seats are available under merit quota which will be filled by the Government of Kerala. 35% of the seats are filled by the management based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and in the entrance examination conducted by the Government of Kerala.
15 % seats are earmarked for NRI’s which are filled by the management.
b) Socially and Educationally backward Classes (SEBC) within the income limit prescribed above/Persons with Disabilities (PD) category candidates who have obtained 40% marks in Mathematics separately with 55% aggregate marks in Physics and Chemistry put together are also eligible for admission.
Reservation is as per rules of Government of kerala and in view of the prospectus issued by the Controller of Examinations, Government of Kerala, Trivandrum.
All documents insisted by the Controller of Entrance Examinations including Qualifying Examination are to be kept in the safe custody of the Institute.
Original Certificate of the Qualifying Examination will be issued to students under special circumstances and in view of their guarantee that the same will be returned within the stipulated date.
Students who are within rank 10000 in the Kerala Engineering entrance exam 2014 shall contact the college authorities immediately on publication of the rank list, to avail this golden opportunity.
Other Scholarships & Endowments offered by the trust
Students who enroll in the Focus Institute of Science and Technology (2014 admissions only), securing 85% or above in the Calicut University exams (aggregate in an academic year) will get Rs. 25,000 assured scholarship in the succeeding year.
Students who score between 80 and 85 % aggregate in the University exams in an academic year will be given an assured scholarship of Rs. 10,000.
The scholarship amount will be adjusted against the fee payable in the succeeding academic year.
Any student of Focus Institute of Science and Technology winning first rank in the University at the end of the four year B.Tech course will be rewarded a cash award of Rs. 50,000. Students who earn Second rank will receive a cash award of Rs. 25,000 and those obtaining third rank will be awarded Rs. 10,000/-. Also, five students who secured 90% marks in plus-two examination will be admitted to B.Tech course, fully exempted from tuition fee.
